Which S55 crank hub upgrade is the best?

Along with my E21 turbo project we’re planning to fit an S55 into an E30. I'm trying to check every component and upgrade available before dropping in the engine. I've browsed most of the topics here but I couldn’t find anyone discussing the upgraded S55 crank hub.
Has anyone done this before? I’ve come across all sorts of conflicting information online. I’ve read most of it but I’m still unsure which option to go for.
There are several versions of the S55 crank hub upgrade available both drilling and non-drilling types. I’ll probably need to ask a local machine shop to do the installation. Can this be done in standard garage conditions or is a machine shop definitely required? I assume correct timing is crucial.

The non-drilled version looks fine but some say the crank must be drilled regardless. Which one is actually better? The drilled option costs up to £800 online which seems quite expensive.

I don't understand the need; if you've changed your OFH gasket and install a fresh belt you're good!

Not an S55 guy, but I'm under the impression that the prevalence of the crank hub issue is overblown and not worth doing unless you encounter slip, at which point you'll get a cam position error before you do any damage.
