      So is the only difference between the OBD-II and E30 gauge cluster sensor, the way they are grounded? Any of you electrical geniuses know how to possibly get around it?

          I spoke to Dave @ Turner he mentioned that on some vehicles its necessary to ground pin 11 on the engine side of the harness. Let you know how that works.
