    If you check your oil every time you get gas, like you should, you will never need that sensor.

            I made one on a lathe out of 6061, very similar to the one turner sells. It is also recessed into the oil pan pickup, that way if I decide to add an oil temp gauge later on, I can just tap it and fit it for whatever size I need (1/8" or 1/4" NPT).
