    getrag 260 shift linkage mod. for 24v swap

    im trying to get an idea of what im going to have to do to mate my getrag 260 to an s52 that is being shipped as we speak. i have tried to find the link that has this info, but have been unable to find it. any info would be appreciated.

    I alredy have the modded trans X member

    Just picture why you need to mod it and you'll understand. The trans is turning about 12 degrees, since the bolt pattern on the block is about 12 degrees off that of an m20. So your shift selector rod will need to be bent 12 degrees, or cut and turned 12 degrees then reattached. I bent mine. Some people cut them and weld them. Or cut them, thread the insides, and put a threaded rod inside (bolt with head cut off). None of them really made me happy, but I went with bending, and my shifter alignment is absolutely perfect.

      thank you, im sure this will make a little more sense once i have the engine and trans out of the car.
