Making the 24V Harness fit under the 318 Covers

So I zip tied and tapped my setup a few times but can not get it to fit. I have read about people deleting wire but these are the only ones I can think to remove as I want a diagnostic port.

Pin # from the DME
#19 Secondary Air Pump
#26 Jump start connection point
#48 Compressor control Relay ( I wont run A/C)
#64 Integrated climate control Module
#65 Ac Pressure switch

Thats all I could come up with.
Any tips or help on making it fit are appreciated. I have searched but no one lists the wires they removed.

you're trying to fit an obd2 harness under there? good luck... obd2 harness is much more complicated than the obd1 harness, which barely fits as it is

Dont know if your guys OBD1 has the same amount of wires as the s50 Euro which has a seperate computer box for the Vanos, i had lots of wires......


what i did was shortened them alot and resoldered every one that was cut.

The cover fits but just.... would like to make the bunch tighter.... anyone have the cover which goes by the battery tray that joins the harness cover? its not available in South Africa..

I got it to fit and even locted the diag plug in the factory location. I had to drop out all of the branches before the relays but the wires will hide out under the intake manifold.

It fits great on my car. I used friction tape and wrapped it really really tight. I have all the covers and I located my diagnostic port in the stock location.

I guess you can't see it as well in this photo as I thought, but you get the idea.

what worked best for me was doing all the wiring out of the car. I cut out all unnecessary wires, carefully laid everything out on the floor, ziptied liberally, fit the harness into the e30 cover, installed wiring on engine, then dropped in the engine and plugged in c101 and the power connections.

In my expirence if you try to fit the wiring in the cover with everything already hooked up in the bay you are in for a nightmare.

Lol, yup. I was in a rush to get the car done for a carshow and I got really sick and was in and out of the hospital for a few weeks. So, day of the show it decided to rain. Well, I could only find 1 wiper and it's from a Corrado.

I did win an award at the show though. Most Likely to Get Pulled Over.
