Solid lifters only come into play at high rpm's when valve float would occur with hydraulic lifters i.e. 7000rpm+ unless you have a hot cam (hotter than an s52 exhaust cam) that can flow at high rpms and of course a chip that will let you spin that high Those are pointless.

Yea, I figured. I don't think the M50NV rotating assembly could take more than 7500 RPM anyways.

Dude just buy an M52. You can get one for like 500 bucks in the GTA. With your M50 manifold and if you buy S52 cams, you'll put down the same WHP as an S52 (205-210).

Yea, but then I have a boat anchor M50 NV laying around. I'd need the M52 block, head, harness (I'm guessing M50 OBDI Vanos) and ECU. Since I have a NV harness.

Only thing I can use is really my oil pan, pick-up headers and intake manifold.

You're right but I think it will be worth it. You'll spend a lot of money for very minimal gains. Give Euroguy a call or PM, I wouldn't be surprized if you end up getting an M52 + M50 wiring/dme for like 750 bucks or even less. Then you'll just need to find a set of S52 cams and you'll have serious power.

Yea, I guess you're right. I can still do the WAR chip, MAF swap intake elbow, throttle body and under drive pullies and then make S5x power for real lol.

I'd give Fil a call, but he usually charges a bit more than simply or euroguy.

I could keep the M50NV around and build it up for boost. I have other things that need to be done before boost.
