    Exhaust update

The exhaust is almost finished. The shop is a race car prep shop and this is the first time they have done an exhaust. The welds aren't perfect but I am happy with the exhaust for now.

    They installed:
    -SS rep headers
    -Custom burns Y pipe
    -3" Magnaflow metallic cat
    -Magnaflow muffler
-Magnaflow y pipe for the tail pipes
    -Factory O2, AEM wideband 02, LM1 O2
    -V-bands

Post cat will most likely have a resonator installed so that portion is temporary.

    Update,

Here are a few pics of the T-trim install and the larger crank pulley. I have decided to go with a TRM custom tune for the 60's. Additionally, I found a guy on BFC that wanted to trade a 6" crank pulley for his 7". I am now planning to run the T-trim @ 58k rpms and hoping for 18-20psi.

The car should be done this coming week. Once the engine work is done, the car will be going to my buddy's dyno shop to get the TRM tune sorted out. I hope to have some power numbers soon.....

Should be a beast of a car. Parts look good.

So this is probably a dumb question but I've looked and don't see much of a difference, but what is the dif between Euro and US grills? It seems the Euro ones have the driver side half blocked off.

started a topic Project Daily driver

    Project Daily driver

    Hey guys,

My car finally arrived at the shop so I figured I would post some pictures and information. Some of you have followed the other thread about my car but if not, you can see what it was like before I purchased it here at this link

The PO did a great job building this car. He sold it to a gentleman out in WA. I purchased it from him a few months ago when he listed it for sale on BFC. As some of you know, i am currently in Iraq and I have never actually driven the car. My good buddy was driving it and has recently dropped it off at Racewerks in Virginia Beach. I typically perform all the work on my cars but I do not appear to be heading home any time soon and I really want to get the vehicle finished or close to it before I get home. That said, since I purchased the E30 I have splurged on a bunch of parts to bring this car to the next level. Here is a list of the parts I currently have and a list of is currently being installed.

These are the items I will install when I return; luckily I have a good buddy that lets me store/ship my stuff to his house.

    Ground control coil conversion/camber plates
Massive 300mm front BBK (rear coming soon)
    17x8 BBS RC reps
    Red tails
    Euro grills
    OEM M-tech II kit
    DDM HIDS
Alpine CDA-9887, Alpine Sirius integration, infinity kappa 5.25 components (F&R) Infinity kappa 5 channel amp and infinity kappa sub+ stereoinstaller E30 box (still waiting for)
    Keyless entry kit

Parts currently being installed at Racewerks:

    Custom TRM 60lb tune
SS rep header, burns Y-pipe, 3" metallic cat, 3" exhaust tubing, 3" muffler
    .140 cometic head gasket/APR 2000 studs
    Rogue power pulleys
Bavarian Solutions stage 3 CNC'ed cylinder head + oversized valves etc
    schrick cams
    T-trim with a 6.75" crank 2.95" blower pulley (18-20psi)
    60lb injectors
    AEM wideband
    2 new knock sensors
    BBTB

The parts I still need to buy,

    custom CV axles
6 speed w/mount, shifter and driveshaft
    rear massive BBK
    Paint
    carbon hood and deck lid
    Front strut bar
    custom front splitter/skid plate
    rear camber adjusters/subframe/diff mod
    R&F poly bushings throughout.
Autopower 4pt roll bar with door bars
    Race Logic traction control
    new tires....

I recently purchased an S52 that will be getting built when I return as well. I am building it for boost/daily driver. I plan on using Bavarian Solutions forged longer connecting rods and a custom forged piston. This set up should be strong enough to handle huge power while being up to the daily driving task.

Here are some pics. I appreciate any advice or suggestions as well. I hope you enjoy this build and much as I do. I will try to keep this updated with pictures as much as possible but I am at the mercy of the installer.

    Enjoy.
