just unpacked my ecu - blue label 413?

I purchased what was advertised as a red label 413, but its got a blue label. Will it work? I was hoping to fire up my car today but this might present a problem.

is there a vin on it? there are sites that will decode the vin and tell you the car it's from

I'm working on getting a picture up. The label isn't all blue in the same way that a "red label" is all red. The label is mostly white with a blue edge. The edge says www.programatools.com.
hmm, maybe this thing has been rebuilt or something. the casing has a gray texture painted on it as well.

I wish I would have looked at this thing before today.

I'm thinking its been serviced or rebuilt or something. I don't know how to tell if it was a red or silver label to begin with. I guess I'll just have to go on the seller's word.
No damage will be done if its a silver label, right? It just wont start?

Should be fine. Seen a couple of those on customer cars.

well, I got to a point where I should have been able to turn the motor over. Turned the key to "on" and have headlights and fans etc. turn to start and.......nothing. I tried turning it over with no ecu attached as well with no results. no starter noises or anything.

does this sound like an ews dme? any ideas?

anyone willing to lend a known red label 413?
