Your peak numbers are good. Interesting torque curve on the second run though... And I'm a little curious how you picked up 15-30 lb/ft in some areas by going from 3rd gear to 4th gear.

You should have at least another 10 peak whp with a good tune.

Mike that's fucking awesome! Glad to see everything is lined out and you had it at the dyno!

Great numbers. I'm glad the salvage didn't ask for my current head back. I have plans for it next summer. ;)

Dynojet's are inertia dyno's. Meaning the higher gear/higher speed for the pull the better.

I bet you'll get at least another 10 whp/tq out of a retune. But you already have a very stout e30! :pimp:

With those long gears, you have a nice wide power band.

I need to get my shit together and get my spare cams reground!
Still short 3.73 gearing. You really think dropping down to 3.46 or 3.23 would help my mid/top end? Still only pulling 2 cars on e46 m from 2nd gear @ 35mph and it really only happened when I was done with 3rd going into 4th. Ran again at 3rd/60mph and he stuck with me for a long time, then maybe a car. Think my car was pretty heatsoaked by that run though...and it's been throwing some codes at me.

I wish, only 11:1. Sunbelts, VAC stage 2 head, new oem lifters, rebuilt/modified vanos, race chains, rebuilt/modified oil pump, rebuilt bottom end, cp forged 11:1 pistons, Porsche 3.5" 803 HFM, 24# inj, fan/ac/ps delete, euro s50 headers, euro s50 midpipe, stromung catback. Think thats it...

Yea, it's fun. Me too. If any tracks are still open by the time I'm fine tuned I'll hit one for sure.

Part of the reason why I think proper sized tires (instead of these super undersized ones) would add couple ponies to that number. Running 215/40/16's in the rear, just bought 225/45's to replace them. Rolling diameter of 22.77 vs 23.97, which is about 4" in distance every tire rotation.

So when my 215/40's are rotating at 29.63 rotations/sec @ 120mph, my 225/45's at 29.63 rotations/sec would be @ 126.7mph. I don't see why it wouldn't take the same amount of time to get to the number of rotations/sec with only a 2lb difference in the weight of the rubber. Effect has to be so minimal.

Maybe my understanding or calculations are way off though.

            Strong motor.

Can you get the place that did your dyno to do the SAE conversion on the chart?

            Thanks,

Lots of compliments and it really did feel good. 3 of the techs really appreciated it, esp being DIY's themselves.
Job well done, amigo! Very nice numbers!! 8-)
