Is it possible to pull codes through the e36 diagnostic port?

    Yeah it worked fine on mine car when me and tom hooked it up. It had a 02 code but I got it fixed but this was with the first adapter you made me. I dont know if you made any changes to the new one or not. I can ask tom if he messed around with the adapter or not if you want me too.

            and a follow up question...is the peake tool able to give me more than I can find through a simple stomp test?

            the peake tool is on order - my family has 2 other bmws, so its not just for my application, but hopefully it does something to help.

              Peake tool works on all the swap car's i have used it on. That's 5 different swaps.

                    A little update here. The peake tool did not work when I initially plugged it in. I then put power to pin/wire 22 at the x20 via a 9v battery. It worked like a charm and gave me more codes than the regular stomp test.

                    Greg, maybe power this wire in future adapters? just a suggestion.

                    Sadly, it gave me nothing that pinpointed the obvious solution. I did find a possible vacuum leak, though. Hopefully she'll be going soon.
