Just make sure you dont have any 12V ANYWHERE touching the body. That single blue wire usually is the alternator wire.

Make sure your battery is tied down.

Well, I feel pretty stupid here:

I had decided to delete my charcoal canister without first getting a complete understanding of how the system worked. What I had done was pull out the canister and directly connect the fuel tank breather line to the throttle body vacuum nipple. It is now quite apparent that was NOT the correct procedure. This created both a vacuum leak situation and a very rich running engine. I'm a bit embarassed but very excited that I've found the main culprit.

My fresh adapter from Greg should be here anytime and I can't wait to drive a proper running S50!!

      Thanks everybody!

        damnit, still stuck.
The car ran absolutely flawless for 5 minutes. I was hitting wot nicely, it would idle perfect etc.

Then it started to act like it had a rev limiter at 3.5k rpms. It would cut out at this rpm at any throttle position.

Its not near as violent as it was in the initial videos, but its there.

I wish this thing would cooperate with me.
