Are you interested in a 3.23LSD (Torsen) trade for your 3.46? If so PM me.

Nice car and impressive weight, mine came in at 2650.

I'm not doubting you have the power for it, but the e30 isn't known for being the most aerodynamic. What is the lift like at those speeds? Is the front getting super light?

Anyone know what the Cd of an e30 is?

I used Cd = 0.30 and frontal area of 20ft^2.

I had these in a spreadsheet for a few years, can't remember where I pulled those from but they seem reasonable enough for rough calcs.

The 5 speed has nearly the same gearing 1st-5th, so that wouldn't change. However if you're planning on running the ZF 310 or 320, you wont want to go any shorter than 3.46. Without the overdrive in 6th that the 6 speed offers, you will crank pretty high revs on the highway in 5th.

For a DD I'd say 3.25 is the best. I used to run that with my swap, but I wanted something a little more fun, so I went with the 3.46. If you're on the highway alot, get either a 2.93 or a 3.25.

Hi guys, bit of comparison from a UK car, mine weighed in at 1160kg (2557lbs) with 1/4 tank of fuel, no weight saving.
Iron blocked 2.8 with aircon and full interior, also have a small amp and upgraded speakers, elec windows and recaro seats
