I posted on bimmerforums seeing how to remove EWS from an ECU and nobody had a better option than buying a complete tune and EWS delete chip which seemed a bit pricey.

If you can send an obd2 DME with EWS then I wouldn't need to wire in the EWS. Which might just be more convenient as a whole. Shoul I PM you for further information?

So here is the burn mark. And inside, one of the pins looks like it exploded. There was metal gunk that was on the plastic layer that sort of bonded the two together. It seems like a really small thing, but I'm guess this could cause the problems.

I don't have an ECU here to send you, but if you want to send in your good one, I can turn off EWS and send it back to you. I'll take the fried one on trade and give you the same deal we talked about last night if you want.
