Personally, I'd go for a 3.46 if I was in your position. BUT, fi highway mileage is a concern for you the 2.93 would be best on gas, with the 3.23 (whatever it is) as the best compromise.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.

 2.93 or 3.25

 I would not mind a 3.46 even without the 6 speed. The drive ability is worth it.Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff

So most of the dudes here with the same set up are running 2.93, 3.25 or 3.46. Well I am going to go look for one. It will probably come down to what's available of the 3 mentioned here.I am leaning toward the 3.25 because I cruise so much on the freeway.Thats just how I roll.Comment

if you're concerned with highway fuel mileage, 2.93 or the rarer 2.79 for sure.Comment

Today was a good day. Thanks Uber e30,I took your info and went to (pick and pull) and sure enough I found a 535 with 119,000 miles and it had a big "S" on the diff . So the gear is 3.25. The oil that was in the bottom was golden. Can't wait to get this in the car, so I can get a highway pass.Comment
