That's impressive, considering how many new short cuts people came out up between 2003 and now.

The physical engine swapping took me a few weekends. (1st swap and working slowly/carefully). However, it took almost 6 months to get everything completely ironed out. My late build '87 had a few electrical oddities that aren't present in most chassis.

        -O2 sensor backfeeding
        -tach wire not at c101
        -abs power through chassis harness
-no vehicle speed signal to dme

I also had a vacuum leak and inconsistent starter to track down.

Its a real bitch when you think your new engine is all set to fire up and you've got a multitude of problems you're not aware of. You have to track them down one at a time.

Edit: my brake system also had a bias valve mounted under the master cylinder that had to be mounted elsewhere and a couple of hard brake lines rerouted. After many hours of searching/researching, I've concluded that I have a strange e30.
