Sorry, didn't want to come off as a hater.

I just feel like this could affect the air/fuel mixture on the cylinders where the manifold has been modified.

He has a point. The first and last cylinders are already most prone to mixture variations due to the drop in air flow.

I know that the factory manifods are great for boosted aps but I think the pressure would blow the cap right off of a modified unit.

I'd like to see one modelled off the Euro E36 CF airbox (like on Erik325's M3) with the throttle body down at the neck.

Pics will be up soon. I understand this will not come off as the best idea for many. i myself was very skeptical, but after driving 5 cars with this set-up, I am convinced that it has not harmed the performance of the motor.

              Good info right there.

I'm sure as far as CFMs per cylinder goes, there will be an effect by taking away some of the plenum volume. However, in all 5 of the cars that have this manifold, it's unnoticeable if there indeed is any difference.

Why not just move the booster over 1/2 inch? Seems easier in my opinion

Just swap your booster. Modifying the manifold is not smart.

We've modified over 5 manifolds and have had no problems, I do have some pics of the manifold from the inside after being modified that I will post as soon as I upload them. The reason why we do this is to prevent the brakes from being modified and this isn't for everyone, we do this for those who don't wish to change their booster.

The iX option will cost you about 100$ tops if you know where to get a part. It looks just as clean and isn't hacking anything up.

                            But to each their own.

By "not having a problem", you mean you've measured air flow and saw no major change, or that none of the engines you have modified manifolds on have blown up yet? Serious question, not bashing. I'm curious how caving in the cylinder 6 runner will effect the flow.

i might just get tree house booster. I dont care to mess with the modifying of the booster or swapping one....
