I did search but everything i have come up with (which isnt much) doesnt yeild results
car cranks strongly so starter is all hooked up sweet as
have tested for spark and nothing
fuel pump primes (can hear it when key is turned). fuel lines are the correct way round but i cant smell any fuel, should i be able to? have cranked the engine a lot..
other tests i have done to the EWS include:
found out i shouldnt have soldered the joins so i cut the wires an reconnected without solder (except for the power ones as that should make no difference)
checked for a signal coming from the output of the box to the ECU and there is a signal there (registers on the voltmeter). If the EWS forward of that didnt work (ie incorrect chip/EWS box etc, which is next to impossible) would i get a signal going to the ECU?
im pretty much out of ideas guys! i hope someone can help me??
thanks, andy
edit: FYI, M20 that came out ran sweet, as did the M52 before it was pulled from the E36, as did the ECU/EWS combination from another E36
