I think I have settled on the euro s52, so now I gotta start saving my pennies for that. Thanks for helping me make up my mind! Hopefully I'll be starting an ix euro s50b32 build thread within the next 6-8 months!

I stand corrected. So euro motor is s50 and NA is s52?
i believe he says ix right here

We've already established that the S5x is the quicker motor. You just made a claim that the S52 has more torque than the M30, and I clarified the idea of torque people generally have: the shape of the powerband, not just the actual peak number of the motor.

I helped a friend with his m30 e30 swap and compared to mine it's no question what motor i would prefer be done to an e30, to each their own of course.. these two cars have been on multiple types of tracks together tho ;) Also the m30 just seems to big in the e30, my buddy has to take of his radiator every time he plans on messing with the distributor cap/plugs, for the price of the swap though it's a pretty neat thing

An m30 has some torque yes but a s52 has more..

He didn't say it was an iX, and I wouldn't assume it was an iX just because of his username.
