Even at the current height, if I added a skidplate, the plate would only be a 2-3"s of the ground! And I'm planning to drop it another 1" or 2". :(

Does anyone have a picture of what their 30 looks like after their m50 swap? The ground clearance; just so I can compare.
Any chance of a photo of your sump to ground clearance and or a measurement to the ground from the sump? im running cups too shortly. I assume you are on E36 arms and E28 mounts?

with e36 arms and akg mounts my PEERLESS skid plate is less than 1.5 inches off the ground with IE stage 3 springs. the plate has saved the pann numerous times for sure...

I'll second that one! With the crap roads here in Tennessee I cant even consider lowering my car. It sits high with new stock shocks and struts, but I never fear the speed bumps and occasional road debris. The M42 oil pan just looks like its dying to smack something.

                Just you...

All else being equal, a m50 sits lower than a m20? By how much?

I think the M50 swapped cars have more room? At least I though I read that. Maybe I am not remembering correctly.

Thanks man that pics is total crap. but its the only side shot i have.

On as far as the pan sitting lower my motor has been spaced up just over 1/2 an inch.

Well the ride still looks good ;)

As for spacing the motor, I haven't researched that at all; is there something simple that you can do or is it pretty involved?

                              With no other driveline/clearance issues?

theres always clearance issues, the rocker sits less than 1 inch off the floor, I get stuck on straight roads sometimes but as long as the oil pan is safe, its all gravy
