    G260 + m50...

so, I know I am not the only one who had an issue of the lower 4 bolts bolting into the oilpan.

is it alright to leave those 4 bolts out?

Does that mean the oil pan will drop without removing the tranny?

No.. you still don't have access to the back oil pan bolts.

no, just loosen up the trans and slide it back 1/4 inch to be able to have access to the bolts. You should have to remove anything to do that.

I'm not planning to remove my oil pan, but if I ever get the oil pressure light I'll know what needs to be done..

You need a clutch alignment tool for a g260 too don't you? Grr I went to install my clutch tonight and it became apparent. Anybody know where I can pickup a clutch alignment tool without buying a clutch kit?

If you have enough people you can always align the clutch w. the trans.. haha

                    That makes no sense.

I just eyeballed it with a deep well socket on an extension with my m10/g240. it took a little while to get it right tho.

                      edit:

To be fair the motor/trans were out of the car on the garage floor... so that might make a significant difference.
