DUH, I feel stupid but it was the battery....It was either barely 12V and low on omph but while I was the GF put it on the trickle charge and when I went and messed with it today It started right up up with typical vroom.

No stripped the labels as I was going alone, I'll do it again as the head comes back from machine shop tomorrow and parts come in. I sent the M52 head out for a basic cleaning and pressure testing.
Happens, seller gave me 400 back so I was a little less perturbed.Comment

M52 head is cracked on the back of exhaust side of piston #3 fargin aye.Comment
