I have an empty engine bay right now so if I'm going to swap to an e34 cable I would like to do it at this time but i would prefer to keep my e30 cable and modify the bracket that it attaches to on the throttle body. I would like to see what you guys did as far as modifying that bracket. Thanks guys!
Pic request: 24v with E30 throttle cable.

I routed my cable between the two posts of the brake master cylinder and through the m50 throttle body bracket. Then just hooked it up to the linkage thwnger with a little plastic apacer. I'd show you a picture but I'm on my phone. Look through my oh hey guys thread.

I just forgot to order the E34 cable, in using the E30 cable I just routed it as it would be normally on the E36 (used the E30 rubber bushing); as it stands the cable will be too long. To solve this I used a short piece of brake tubing (aprox 1" and flared both ends) as a spacer and she works fine...Greg 1987 325is (fairly far from stock at this point)

It's not the price thats the problem its that the area where the throttle cable attaches to the firewall is very rusty and I feel like if i try to remove it i will demolish the surrounding mounting provision for it.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.Comment

So how much longer is the stock e30 cable then the stock e36 or e34 throttle cable? I'm working on something and need a longer throttle cable but the stock e36 cable that I'm using is about 2 inches to short. ThanksComment
