Its really not as hard to change the throttle cable as I thought. I thought you have to loosen the nut at the firewall on the throttle cable and mine was rusted so I dident want to touch it. In reality it just clips in and I changed mine out for an E34 in about 30 min.

So back to my question. Does anyone know of a cable that is about 2 inches longer then the e34 or e36 cable?

Yes to all the above.

DME's in order of desirability: Red 413, Silver 506, Silver 413

eh, red 413 and silver 506 are the exact same thing besides the chip, i would almost venture to say the 506 is more desirable. When you get CARB cert they will want to see your ECU and if its a s50/s52 then there is less chance of them giving you crap about a red 413.

Well since CARB stands for california air and resources board i clearly wasnt referring to our friends up north. Simply stating that a silver 506 and red 413 are exactly the same sans chip, and since there is a specific desire for a 506 i would rank it higher then a red 413.

I've gotta slight problem with my e34 cable, when you let off the gas car idles at 1500 and then you have to pull it back a little and it idles normally. It's fully adjusted out and everything, anybody else?

i just put in a 97 328iS cable in. of course, a little tinkering was required.
