Here is a complete AA Stage II C38 Rotrex kit, with the piping as supplied from AA.

I'm not trying to start a fight with you, but seriously? Your car honestly looks very thrown together. I sincerely don't think you know who you are talking to, but that's just fine... The whole point I was making for the original poster was that most of the AA supplied piping for use on a e36 would not work on a e30. Not who's installation is cleaner and better put together.
My goal wasnt to offend you, or chastise your work, which looks damn impressive to me.

But I deduced that the guy who started this thread wouldnt immediately jump to the C38 stage 2 kit. He would probably do what I did and get the C30 stage one kit, which is what I have pictured. As we can both see there are a lot of differences.

Again, wasnt trying to push your buttons, just showing you that not everyone SC'ed their E30 with your exact kit. AA has offered lots of different setups. And I can promise you as sure as your E30 is blisteringly fast, that my kit isnt 'thrown together, with SAAB crap.' Sometimes you just gotta open your eyes and realize there is much more out there, other than just the stuff that you have.

Plus, us SC'ed S52 swapped E30 guys should probably stick together, considering there are like 5 of us.
    My previous build (currently E30-less)

its not just the s50 vs m52. here is another one:

      active stage 1 c38 7ps e36M3
      vs
      my 8.5psi TRM S50.

        m52 with s50 cams 11psi

        vs

        stock s50 8.5psi
Why isn't the m52 reaching the claimed 11 psi until redline when the s50 hits 8.5psi around 3.3k RPM's? Me thinks that if the m52 was making 11 psi around the same RPM level, the comparison would look a little different...

That's not how centrifugal superchargers work. They build boost based off of the crankshaft pulley. The engine can't spin the blower fast enough to build that much boost until you get higher into the rev-band.

A positive displacement blower like a twinscrew, builds more boost almost instantly, which is why they are the preferred choice. Too bad AA's twinscrew kit is like $9k!

For those that are power hungry, go turbo. A supercharger will never be able to keep up. However, a supercharged 24v e30 will be able to control the power much better than a turbo one. The crazy amounts of torque that turbo 24v engines make, cause serious traction issues, compared to a higher strung blower.

I hate linear displacement blowers. Seriously. If I were actually going to SC anything I think it would have to be a twin screw. They make a cooler sound anyway. :p

I don't know why you guys are saying turbos cause traction issues... as long as you don't POWERSHIFT into 2nd my 205/50-15 nitto neo gens take the power very well.

                        price

How are you guys staying in the 3k-3700 range with your supercharger builds? The cheapest active autowerkes SC kits are almost 5k....?

I sold off my AA stg1 SC, was great reliable, fun put down 320hp nicely but ended up selling to member Kunt-masha in order to go turbo, and looking at 475-500 whp when done and thats on safe side. 2500 or so for a used AA stg 1 or put about 6k into a well built and planned turbo setup and boost away!!!
