I'm buying OEM from the dealer. So I'm not sure what brand they are. How would the mounting surfaces be parallel when these mounts are not made for e36 motors in e30's? The AKG mounts that i have in my M3 swap car have the correct angles for the arms and subframe. I have about 3 track days and 5 autox's on the AKG mounts and they are holding up fine. Were in only takes me about 6 months to break a e28 green mount. I would check your green mounts as even when they fail it's hard to tell that they have failed. The center part comes apart from the rubber and just sits there. First time it happened to me it was the left motor mount, it failed and at a stop light i could feel the motor vibrating on my brake pedal. This was due to the intake manifold rubbing on my brake booster from the collapsed mount mount.

So i mean to each there own, but I've killed 4 e28 motor mounts and my room mate in his swap car killed one. I've melted IE yellow poly bushings that were in my e30 M3 swap car. And I've have my car swapped for 4 years now and about 30k miles as my daily driver.

Regarding headers and exhaust, what do most people do, just custom jobs?

The stock e36 stuff works or you can just do all sorts of random custom stuff.

He was joking, he makes those circuits. It just makes it so the econometer gauge and OBC range and consumption are accurate. Your car will run fine without it.

Oh that? I thought you could do the wiring yourself.

You can do the wiring yourself it ain't hard. There are several members on here who will make harnesses as well that work better (have the extra pins for abs and oil level etc) than the THR one which costs more.

Regarding the driveshaft, do I need the center mount and guibo from the 325i also?

Adapter: I would have greg modify your harness for much cheaper

Motor mounts: Use e28 green hex mounts and save some $
In the red 413, the word red is in reference to what? what is red? This may sound newb and it probably is! but I have a 413 DME with a Jim Comforti 5060-3000 chip and it is working, so I assume that I don't have any EWS.

Asking that because I will swap the chip to make better use of other mods...

The red means the label on the DME is red, like so...

right, they come with different color labels with the guts slightly different. I'm not sure about the differences with US ECU's but I have a silver and red label 075 ECU's. the silver label has EWS, and the red one does not. Both run the 3.0L euro S50B30.

I'm using the AKG motor mounts and they are quite sturdy and the fitment is perfect.

Buy the treehouse racing CAB, they will make your life much easier!

op, Depending on which tranny you use, seem to be a 240, you will need to modify your tranny brace. A member here on R3v is selling pemodified brace. The tranny will shift a couple of degree, thats why you will need this.

Still confuse with my DME versus ews...
