Get another pump from WP, swap it, then report back. The cavitation idea sounds possible.

it has cured itself. I have no clue how but its not leaking anymore and the witches brew has settled down. all I have left is one check engine light code to figure out.
Im thinking it wasnt bled well enough and the pump was cavitating

i had a similar problem. only happened on track. after multiple attempts to fix, i ended up replacing the p.s. pump and return line. apparently there is a reducer in the return line that hels keep the pump from foaming the oil.

Had the same problem during my last autocross...then it stopped so maybe it needed to be bled as well...

There's a line very much like that in the E30 M3, takes out the overboosted feel.

Probably to slow the volume of fluid but it increases the pressure.
