I just replaced my in tank pump (dont have an external) with a TRE 340, very quiet and seems to do the job so far.

The Racers Edge Performance - TRE 255 LPH Fuel Pumps offers new ford mustang, chevrolet camaro, and import performance fuel pumps similar to the Walbro 255 lph, at cheap discount wholesale prices, including fuel pumps similar to walbro 255lph for all model cars, domestic and import.

          Factory pump or a walbro.

The 044 is massive overkill, even for a turbo DOHC e30.

Ok- so I have an E30 M3 fuel supply system still. So, I have an in tank and one by the driver's side rear tire.

you're recommending the TRE one for the pre pump in the e30 /m correct? Is it a better swap or is it just less expensive?

I would have to keep the pickup and just change the internal pump itself.

            thanks

the bosch pump definitely owns all

be careful though, you'll likely want to use the stock in-tank pump as a transfer pump and the bosch pump externally. The in-tank version won't fit inside the E30 pump opening. the walbro 255 won't be able to touch it in this configuration (especially if you get a crappy made in china copy).

                  Thanks!

So, gonna get both new since they're both original and are 20 years old.

External: going with the BOSCH 0580254044
Internal: going with Stock BMW P#: 16141179415

Do you recommend changing that "absorber" that is before the fuel filter?
                  :D

the inline version will fit where inline pumps fit, but the in-tank version does not fit. I tried. :(
