    finally got my s50 =]

hey guys, i'm new on this forum, finally got around to doing my build, my dad and myself are doing it, he's been busy with other swaps (e30 m3 with s54 (lucian's car) and his carbon black e30 touring with s52) some of you might know him, his name is Rohan. My s50 has 55k miles on it if anyone's wondering. I will be updating more or less everyday with current progress, i started the project officially on 12/7/10, pulled the motor out the same day....enough talk, here's some pics =)...............(sorry for some blurry pics, those are from my phone =/)
this is my car, car was repainted two years ago, had a little mishap in the front from new york roads =[, plan to fix in due time...

    and here's swap pics...
getting ready to pull the m42:

    goodbye m42 ;o

and for today, just took out unnecessary things/harnesses, that way we can start degreasing/sanding, then prime and paint =[...so much cleaning to doooo
    12/8/10:

    here's the new baby:

a powerful pressure washer would really speed up the cleaning process

no need for a new valence, the valence is fine, clips aren't broken or anything, if i show you original pics of when the car was painted, you'll see i can't actually change the valence, my whole front is molded into one piece...

think i saw you at bimmerfest. we were arguing bout whether the m20 is better than the m42 but i think your new engine tops them. good luck with the build

Can't wait to see how that engine bay cleans up.

Cute M badge on the VANOS hump.

btw, what is the story on the coil on plugs on your M42?

all i did was take the stock look and mold it, can't see how that's hideous...but hey, to each their own, it's my car and in my opinion: i like it and that's all that really matters. =)

it's a quick trick/upgrade for the m42, gives a completely different throttle response as opposed to the coil pack =p
