100 Ohms will keep the ECU happy, you don't have a problem there.

You have sufficient current for the MOSFET current sensing.

I just posted on your thread... If I had a resolution I would be at an autoX right now and I would have posted it.

            Idea!:
Is the cam sensor pickup on the intake cam properly? its easily possible to rotate it 120 deg offset and thus mess up what the ECU sees as cam timing. I have done this before so i know.
            Look at this picture:

see the bump in the triangle? There should be a bump to match it on the sheet metal cam sensor pickup.

              Finally found the solution!!!

Apparently, the head and the block have gone through enough resurfacing over the years that the clearance between the valves and pistons became less and less. SO whenever the vanos would engage, the valves would hit!!!:eeek: I guess this would trigger the knock sensor and shut the car off. Without vanos engaging, the car would run with no problem.

Bavarian Motorsport in Milpitas figured this out. Ramon there retarded the intake cam to drop at a different time so it wouldnt contact; and the exhaust cam was advanced. Plugged in the vanos and BAM! Car is back to perfect. Feels strong. I just got to get used to this noisy and roguh stage 3 f1 racing clutch now. HAHA... But it feels strong and I am happy again. Price was very reasonable too!
