M52TU motor in E30

Hey guys,

Came across this ad on ebay and thought it would be interesting to post :)

Bet that guy had a lot of issues getting the engine to run properly electronics wise.

Not the TU. The M52TU is pretty similar to an M54.

I have a friend with an M50TU. Ran fine, he just swapped it out for an S50.

Nah the M52TUs are very different to all the motors before it - M50, M50TU and M52.

M52TU runs double vanos like an M54. Thats basically a 2.8l M54

yes it can, i've been in one. It had head work done by the late Pete McHenry and a few other mods....made about as much power as a stock S50.

Hoveringuy has an m54 in his car. Used a 413 redtop ECU and a standalone vanos controller to conquer the wiring monster.
