Not the TU. The M52TU is pretty similar to an M54.

I have a friend with an M50TU. Ran fine, he just swapped it out for an S50.

Nah the M52TUs are very different to all the motors before it - M50, M50TU and M52.

          M52TU runs double vanos like an M54. Thats basically a 2.8l M54

Double VANOS. Can't be done in an e30.. don't even try!

Nobody said that, just that the wiring was more involved than Single VANOS.

yes it can, i've been in one. It had head work done by the late Pete McHenry and a few other mods....made about as much power as a stock S50.

Hoveringuy has an m54 in his car. Used a 413 redtop ECU and a standalone vanos controller to conquer the wiring monster.

TRM EWS delete is coming for the MS42 and MS43 (M52TU and M54 motors).

                        Stock ECU FTW. :)
