    M50 cooling issues

Finally got the car bled today with a new 71C thermostat. I have a mishimoto rad and a pusher AND puller fans. pusher is 2400CFM and puller is 1600 CFM.

The car now holds a good temp ~177F. But the heater blows cold at stops. IE if I drive, I feel heat. If I stop, it slowly goes away and temps start to climb a bit (not too far and settles after a second). I'm guessing I have bubbles in the heater core.

I'm gonna try what I found here: http://r3vlimited.com/board/showthre...=bleed+coolant

If anyone else has ideas let me know!

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

you have air in there somewhere.

I always bleed with the resivior cap off, bleeder screw open, and heater controls on hot - rev the engine a bit while you fill the resivior. when it stops bubbling or starts to boil over, close it up. never had it not work that way..

I have no bleeder screw. I've never seen an M50 with one. It likes to "belch" now and then and push coolant out the res then suck all the way down again. But it has basically stopped that I think.

You loose the bleeder screw with the Mishimoto. Try jacking the front end up a bit.

Was thinking this. Looked at mine the other night and my valve was on top. Had to tear everything apart but cleaned some things up.

I used to have heat. Nothing has changed in the physical setup so I'm sure it's on right.

It takes no time to yank the console out and look

Uhh, semantics? Considering I just filled and bled the cooling system in an e36 m3. The point is he has no bleed screw.

But that radiator was designed for the e36. They don't make one for the e30 just the e30m. Many people use them on their swaps and I have yet to see anyone complain or have issues with them.
