i checked for leaks but i can't find any. everything is attached securely and i don't see any rips or tears in the intake boot, the hose that is attached to the brake booster, or the vacuum line under the air intake. i checked all the hoses that were in reach and i couldn't find anything. who knows, i may be overlooking it.

i'll try cleaning the ICV tomorrow, hopefully i don't make things worse ha...

You should let us see what it does without you gassing it. would help us out more.

Its not a vacume leak have you checked for codes. Im wiling to bet its the ICV or TPS or maybey the dme temp sensor. Could it possably be maf related IDk?

Also hook of the damn checkengine light so you can do a stomp-test so you can pull codes.

i've been outside for over 2 hours now, trying to get the ICV out.
i'm stuck at the part where you take the hose out of the intake manifold.

i soaked it with WD-40 and even tried to use a flathead screwdriver; still, nothing. my forearms and hands are cut up and it's getting really frustrating. i absolutely need the car in tip top driving condition by this weekend.
is there anybody that knows how to get this hose off more easily?
or is anybody out there willing to come over and help with PAY?!

i just went outside to try again but there is no clip.
                        it's just this

is the clip hidden somewhere? i felt around everywhere and i can't feel any clip

this is what it should look like when i take it out

if you can imagine the left tube on the icv in the picture above going into the picture you just posted from pelicanparts, the clip has no function in releasing the tube that i am trying to get off

I took mine apart so maybe you can see. Of course the clip is broken on mine, its being delivered tomorrow or Wed. You can see how it hooks to the manifold, the clip should be at the bottom.....Hope this helps??

                            what year is your engine?

do i just press the clip and pull? i wouldn't want to risk breaking the clip so any pointers before i head back out?

mines a 95 S50. Should be the same on your M50

Maybe try undoing the hose clamp on the other end by the ICV and disconnect that first. Maybe it will make it a bit easier to pull?!

okay so i found the clip i think. it's not very big. maybe half the size of a dime and it feels more like a button than a clip.

i'm pressing on it and pulling on the hose at the same time but nothing is happening.
