Where ELSE can I put a temp sensor?

The car I am working on ('92 MTech 'vert) has a motor from a '98 528i (E39, obviously) and there is only a single hole in the head and a single sensor. There is only 1 plug as well, so far as I can see.

I can see, however, that there is a "land" cast into the head, but it has never been drilled or tapped.

The harness appears to come from that E39 as well.

The owner does not want to go through the hassle of pulling the intake manifold, even though I showed him it isn't that bad, we don't really want to.

So, I need to add a sensor. I already have a couple ideas, but I want to hear R3Vs ideas.

    Let 'er rip, fellers!

    Luke

Drill and tap the head. 'tis the most simple and reasonable.

Also, the intake comes off in a matter of minutes and all gaskets can be re-used.
