Sorry broski - I'm e'tarded, I wired mine up to the temp switch and it just comes on when keyed. Clearly I did it wrong :p

When someone shows me what I did wrong I'll fix mine.

Well I ended up zip tying it for now, used washers so the force is distributed evenly across the cooling fins. Though I'm not sure where ignition 12 is, when you google "E30 ignition power" you just get a bunch of ignition wires haha.

Help me out here! Everything is hot in that little power block

I think you are supposed to go from the fuse box....

eek yeah that would kinda make sense. Should I just put the wire in any fuse?

If you use zip ties it will move too much and cause the radiator to leak. Just get brackets.

Yep, I was actually figuring that it wouldn't be too difficult at all to make brackets so I'll do that next.

As for finding an Ignition switched source, where should I connect the positive lead to this? Just put it in with any fuse in the fuse box or wut?

Whats wrong with the stock wiring, fuse and relay?

I'm not sure how to wire it with a fuse and relay without going through the temp switch. I'm not running a temp switch cause the previous owner bought a radiator without it.

I'm in a rush since I'm doing a road trip very soon. I just need to have this fan running when I turn the key. I'll wire it and mount it properly once I get back

why don't you spend $20 on a clutch fan instead of doing it the wrong way to begin with?

I'm not sure if you're understanding, I need to have a wired fan by 48hrs, besides it would be cheaper to just get a rad switch. What's the problem with wiring it to ignition 12? Too much amp draw?

I know you don't want to hear this, but if you skimp now - you are gonna mess up your car and it will cost way more to fix.
