He's grinding down the sensor and rethreading it. Nothing new just making it simple for people that can't do it. I did my own on my swap and it isn't that hard. Unfortunately you break(edit motherfuckers muahaha) it and you buy a new one.
He means if the person is grinding one and rethreading it themselves and mess it up then they have to buy a new one. With buying yours it takes away that risk.
Ah, replace TB hose, got it. I have only looked under 1 manifold of an OBDII motor, but I do recall that.
I told my bud about this, is a MUCH better way of dealing with the issue, especially on a car that is "finished". We were gonna install a tube that will allow that sensor to be installed, the $80 thingie that VAC makes...your idea is far superior.

So this is the rearmost sensor that you use to make your temp gauge work, correct? Sorry. I'm new to this 24V swap business. I am interested in one if so. Thanks.
X52 motors have 2 ports in the head. 1 for a 4 prong temp sensor that feeds the dme and the guage and another port for the coolant to flow to the tb. You're basically using the port for the tb coolant but the hole is smaller than a temp sensor. Solution, rethread a temp sensor to that hole. You're still going to need an obd1 temp sensor fpr the dme. 1 prong e30 sensor gets rethread. Make sense?

Yeah, I got it now, 100% clear.
What is not clear to me is why the head didn't get tapped when it was off the motor before it ever went into the car! Oh well, some guys take this serious, some just don't. I wish I had been there during the build, I would have caught that...

Many ways to skin this cat. I believe some even wire the 4 prong temp sensor into the harness. I really didn't want to tap the head with it attached. Was worried about shavings staying in there and wreaking havoc.
BTW Luke my post above was for the guy above my post not you. Figured you got it.
