    Automatic wiring harness

Hey so I have a automatic wiring harness from a 94 325 I plan on using with my swap. I have a s52 in the car already and trying to figure out the wiring now. I had a harness adapter made by Nando. But from my understanding you need to remove the automatic stuff from the harness to be able to use it. Does anyone have experience with this or maybe can point me in the right direction. Thanks fellas I want to get this car started!!!

My auto tranny plug is just chilling in the engine bay. You dont need to chop it off.

just trace the auto wiring back and remove it. Much cleaner that way.

Why do you guys bother with the auto harness? It's not like a stick one if THAT hard to find.

I have used both now and I have to say that noth harness need to be stripped down anyway so with a cheaper auto harness it is no big deal. Just follow back the auto plugs and cut out all associated wiring.

Was under the impression the auto harness gave you more slack to make sure the DME can be properly mounted. My DME is mounted and there is just enough slack for it to reach and I have an auto harness.

I looked for a couple months and couldn't find one that wasn't hacked up or over $300. Ended up with an E34 harness, now I really wish I'd just modded an automatic E36 one.

as far as the harness you don't need to remove anything. it just won't look that nice.
