how are people routing their power steering lines? I did an e36 m3 steering rack and the hoses don't seem to match up to the stock power steering pump.

Just keep your banjo bolts loose till you get the lines situated, then tighten them up.Originally posted by blunttechAlways Always go for the reach around if there is an option

yeah i just checked all the lines. the one line that has all the bends in it coming from the steering rack is just in a crazy position and im afraid it will rub on the belt that is right above it. i think relocating it and making new lines might be the best option.1989 E30 Zinnoberrot Vert 325i OBD1 S52 turbo;IP

I have the same setup as you.
e36 pressure line (pump to rack*)
the otherone is a frankenhose, stock fitting on the pump, hose clamp on the resevoir. The third (Resevoir to Rack) has the stock end for the bank bolt but both ends are hose clamped. No more e30s for me.

How did you guys fit the e36 high pressure hose? The one I have, 96 328is hose, has no way of fitting at all. Do you know if the e30 325 hose fits?Last edited by I*Do*Werke; 07-30-2011, 11:02 PM.^M52B28^

are you saying that the high pressure hose from the 96 328i has no fitting whatsoever? you might be mistaking it for one of the hoses that goes to the reservoir. there should be a total of 4 hoses all together. rack to pump, pump reservoir, reservoir to rack, and one that is on the rack.1989 E30 Zinnoberrot Vert 325i OBD1 S52 turbo;IP
