Quick wire harness (and dme) question

Just bought a 92 NV 525i. It has the brown label 402 DME. I can use this DME AND it's harness for my M50 swap (into a 89 325i), correct? Thanks for your help.

That's what I was thinking, too, but I'm not positive. I've done some searching, but can't find a solid answer. Thanks for your help.

So I guess the real issue may be the length of the harness, correct? The e34 harness isn't long enough to reach the glovebox, if I'm not mistaken. I could use an e36 harness with my brown label 402 DME, then, correct? Thanks for everyone's help.

yes but it has to be a '92 e36, non-vanos harness

I used an E34 harness, what a pain in the ass. I wouldn't do it that way again..

Looks like I've got a lead on an e36 non-vanos harness, which will accompany my brown label 402 e34 DME quite nicely. I look forward to finally getting all the pieces together! Thanks for your help.

On a side note...are M50 heads prone to cracking? I had heard that rumor going around, just curious.

I'm assuming your response is to this question. Thanks, I didn't think so, but wanted to see what r3v thought.

Any DME that accompanied a NV from factory works just fine... no NV ever has EWS
