The tank itself does not expand.

That is a long hose run from the nipple on the driver side to that tank.

Have you pressure tested the tank to see what its exploding capacity is?

I think a tank that fits in the place of the windshield wiper reservoir would be nice, could double as a meth / 02 in injection system.

Welding looks solid, are you making these your self or are you having a shop make them?

Meh, same as the euro tank location in the E36.

Haven't pressure tested it, but it's thicker gauge and better quality aluminum than my PWR radiator in my E36.

+1 on the windshield wiper res location. Not bad price though. I may have to get one of these.

Seeing that a coolant system won't even see 20psi, I wouldn't worry about aluminum even if it were .091" thick, but judging by the weld beads, this is a little thicker.

EDIT: OP, could you find out where he is getting the little cap fitting? I have a nice TIG welder and want to make my own, but can't find that nipple :(

This is not an E36.. Any the guys installing these don't have the E36 fitment.

Have you thought about fitting them where the stock overflow reservoir goes and letting them extend lower down into the headlight area to match the volume.

Yes, the welding looks solid and the plate looks great. Was just a question, not a criticism.

I think the price is great.
