The wrecked e36 donor car was a big mystery. The car was clearly someones baby but I was not able to get detailed engine information. When I pulled it I found suprises along the way. When I removed the oil pan the oil pump nut was already welded. There is a rebuild/wax plug in the back of the head. I have to assume there is more done to the engine, possibly cams? 4 or 5 other s52 cars ran on the dyno yesterday and my car put up an average 10 more hp.

What color was the car? What type of crash damage? I may know info about that car/ engine.
EDIT. Nevermind, saw your build thread not the same car.
WTF is with dyno shops doing power/tq vs speed instead of RPM?
It's a lot easier to do a dyno pull with no tach signal. Just strap it down and go, the dyno calculates. It usually reads a little bit higher on MPH as well.

They got a tach signal for all of us but were giving us these printouts. I asked for one with the tach too.
