When working on My car, "Gut Und Tight" is my torque setting. Unless its something like a head/ main engine components. Or a flywheel.

When Im working at the tire shop ,I do torque down lugs with a Torque Stick, and a wrench. Its more of a safety issue. Id never be able to live with myself if someone was killed when a wheel fell off their car.

I do double check my own lugs as well, my friend claimed to have torqued down one of my wheels, right after i got my car back on the road after my 5 speed swap. I drove the car around for like 200 miles that day , I got home , parked it. Came out the next day and their was two lugs missing , and the other two were finger tight.
