    awesome idea. you can always retro fit an oil cooler if you need cooling at a track day.

        I've been thinking about doing this as well but adding a kick out on the side of the sump to allow a bit more oil capacity. Awesome work.

                  Looks pretty good, the only thing that worries me besides the capacity is the ground down welds. Aluminum doesn't penetrate like steel and the strength comes from the filler, unless that thing is fully welded on the inside Id be worried about the strength of the new piece.

                    In total there is 2 passes on the outside and one pass on the inside, then the sealer over the inside weld.
