My friend was selling an 80k S50, here is the FS add I posted for him. I am not sure if its sold yet or not but when I saw him a month ago he still had it:

Helping my friend sell his motor... I don't know any details or what is included, so please e-mail him if you are interested. Tell him T.J. sent you.

I have a VERY strong S50 3.0L M3 engine from a 95 M3 for sale. It has ~80k miles on it...I had a compression test a couple months ago and all cylinders were within range... It is very strong and dyno'd 220whp/213wtq with just exhaust.

    Asking 3,500 obo.

I am in the process of buying it. I left him a deposite already, and will be paying the remaining ammount when I pick it up. We agreed on $2,500.

I think I got a pretty good deal considdering it has only 25,000 miles on it. Plus, it's local, so I don't have to ship it.

TJ - the only way that S50 put down that much power with exhaust only = overly optimistic dyno! Must have been a dynojet...

My reasearch shows most S50's will put down anywhere from 200-210rwhp stock.

I should be coming down to florida this winter, we should get a meet going

I think its optimistic too, I saw another E36 M3 that had an S52 OBD-I swap with some bolt ons and that only did 222rwhp. But either way thats a strong S50 for a good price. He replaced it with a built to hell M50/S50 that makes 590rwhp :!:

                590rwhp!!! that shit is crazy.

what you're saying about the OBDI S52 is what I've seen also. That 22xrwhp number seems pretty accurate for OBDI S52, it just seems really high for an S50...same dyno??

S52B32, OBD2 conversion, larger (ex. 3.5" from 540i) HFM, good exhaust set up, schrick cams, a little headwork and the right tuning = ~265whp. A few of the guys on bf.c with E36 "332i"s are getting even a little more than that. That puts you near S54 stock output in an M3, and ahead of M roadster/coupe S54 stock #s. That's my plan.

The above post sounds like an awesome deal! Only 26K miles? I checked the site and only found 60K+ and 80K+ S52's...

It's crazy, he is running like 26psi. I think it was a waste of money, he is running like 235 width Nitto's, not even close to hooking up.
