There was a guy that dropped the m54 rotating assembly into the m50 with some reground cams and a tune made 219whp, you can get the assembly for around $600Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

11.5:1 compression. Cnc reliefs in pistons to clear 60 degrees of double vanos.

 Stroke is 91.0
 Rods are 139mm
 Pistons are 87.0 bore

 S54 iron block is ~20mm taller than a pedestrian m50/s52 block.OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30

I don't think it will be 20mm taller, 2mm is closer to truth. Anyway great info, but what about piston compression height? can anyone figure this out?Comment

 TRY IT YOURSELF :D

the S54 deck is Literally 20mm taller. My S54b32 is on a engine stand right now, I fit up the lower timing cover from a S52b32 on the engine stand next to it, and it is ~20mm short. the crankshaft and lower cover mounting points are almost identical besides for the waterpump casting on the iron block, and the s54 deck looks literally extended 20mm TALLER on the top of the deck.

many honda engines are stroker deck engines -b16/b18/b20. the Deck actually gets taller to allow for a stroker crankshaft to function.

those thinking a S54b32 rotating assembly can be easily crammed into a M50 are dreaming. If you want a S54, buy an S54 :D

at TDC the S54 rotating assembly pistons would be 20mm out of the block lol (if crank can evenclear a s52 bottom end).

the bore is also 87.0mm, the camshaft chain drive is double and chain length longer than m50 family........Does this sound compatible at all???Last edited by Wanganstyle; 12-29-2011, 11:19 AM.OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

The pistons are out of the block, have not installed anything besides the crank (just plastigauged).

I can take some photos of it with my digital caliper in mm, can you post a photo of how you want me to measure it?

Would you like me to measure the rods also?

measure from the edge of the wrist pin hole to the face of the piston and then add half of the hole's diameter.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30Comment

and yes, please measure the rod form big end centre to small end centre and also wrist pin length and diameter. tanksComment

Hijacking my thread back a second,

Anyone familiar with the M54 internals.

The B25 and B30 both have the same bore, different stroke. But the part numbers are not the same for the pistons, not sure about the rods.

I'm trying to figure out if I locate a M54B30 crank could I use the B25 piston and rods in
 my M50 to create the 3.0L stroker?Comment

the b30 pistons have the wrist pin placed higher because of the increased stroke, I would go with the whole b30 assembly.Hijacking my thread back a second,
