I was doing better than that with a 4.10 and a ZF. (I think that might have been the first time I drove the car on the highway.)

And no, I am not counting the MPG gauge. Although it isn't that, that far off with 17lbs. injectors. Highway MPG was around 19-20. I've generally found that the S50 is not very sensitive to gearing as far as fuel economy goes. Peak fuel economy was 24mpg with a 3.46 and a G260, but that was unbearably slow.

The G240 is pretty similar in gearing to the g260.

I was getting about 22-23 with 4.10, G260 and M50TU before I swapped it around.
I am now averaging 24-25 with 2.93, ZF320 and M50TU. rpm at an indicated 80mph is a shade over 3k

Dying to know if theres a solution to be found in this thread.

I avg 19 and some change mixed with my m52 ZF320 and 2.93.

I get more or less the same miles per tank (250) as I did when I had the ZF320 and 3.73 :-?

I usually cruise around 60-65, any faster and I'm

        What am I missing here?

I have the same set up as you and my MPG's are also painfully terrible. I'm looking for a 2.93 to hopefully help me out. 3000 RPM at 65 MPH is killing me.

Just calculated my mpg the other day.. currently getting 12mpg :???:

                m50tu with g260 and 3.73 diff..

Calculated by my daily commute of 50 miles round trip and the consumption of damn near a quarter tank... Heavy on the foot, missing an o2 sensor (installing one this friday), and half my commute is city driving.. All adds up :(

Going to probably get a 2.93 diff in the near future.
