Yeah, "new" stuff dont always work. That sucks that you had to remove the starter again. Its such a tight squeeze to get those nuts and bolts.
A little trick that Ive found to work is to get a long pry bar and apply pressure to the inverted torq bolts that hold the starter in place while using an impact gun to zip the nuts off.
Ive used this method about 6 times already and it saves alot of time and man power.
