yeah, it actually looks pretty good, and at least he took the effort to fit it in the stock housing. no hate here. :)

I'd like to have a solution for a totally custom tach using the stock electronics but that will be a while.

        DIY coding plug and printout?

I've got a coding plug that i'll happily donate to science (cue GLaDOS).

yeah, basically. finding a datasheet for the old coding plug chip is pretty tough. I might try to buy a new one and see if they've got a newer chip that I can actually find info on.

I saw that and thought 'Wow, I wonder if he'd whip off another spacer so I could copy his idea until I saw the work you did to the circuit board. Fuck that.

Looks good in there and nice work on it.

Yeah its not too technically difficult, just fiddly. There are 14 wires I have jumped.
Lucky its a single sided board, makes life easy.

I have an E92 M3 cluster I was hoping to use. But that thing is like the space station compared to the E30 cluster board. All CANBUS and SMD devices... Quickly went into the too hard basket.

                So hey, I have an E92 M3 cluster (6MT) for sale :)

                here is the finished item
88 325is. S54, CSL airbox, Motec M800, Motec C127, Motec PDM15, Stoptech STR, MCS 2 way coilovers, Forgeline wheels, Recaro SPA, Eisenmann, Personal, lots of custom.

90 318is. As new OEM+, BBS LM, AST 4210 2 way coilovers, Wilwood SL6R/SL4R, Dynaudio, Recaro Experts
