So this morning I went to Goldenwest College to take my BAR test. I have a S52 that's converted to a OBD1. I told them that the motor was from a 1995 M3 (S50). They asked me for paper work on the motor which I don't have since I purchased it from a private seller. They then started to do the visual inspection. About 45 min later, they told me that it didn't pass. They told me that I needed my motor ID'd by a licensed shop with the year and application. Also, it didn't pass because I plugged up the throttle body coolant hose so I could run a temperature sensor to the head in replacement of the throttle body coolant hose.
I'm thinking about re-installing the throttle body coolant hoses and hiding the temperature sensor for temporary just so it passes the visual on that. As for getting the motor ID'd, I don't know how to go about that since it's a S52 that's been converted to OBD1. Any suggestions about what I can do to get my car to pass? I appreciate the help.
