If I get bored after cams, I will be doing a 2.8 m50 NV turbo with custom turbo cams, worked head, and coated pistons. Even though I could just boost the s52, I want to do something a little more challenging. :D
I was misinformed. Everyone said that the 260+3.73 is about the same as the ZF+2.93. With your calculations, it's the ZF+3.25 that is comparable. I'm guessing the 260+4.10 is more like the ZF+3.46. Sorry for the misunderstanding, and I am actually running the 3.46. Ideally I'd like the 1st & 2nd gear ratio of the ZF+2.93, and the 3rd-5th of the 3.46! :up:I used to run an m50 with getrag 260 and 3.25.

So yes I do have somewhat aggessive gearing considering how freely the s50 revs. Its all in the first 2 gears, they are too short. My first gear is only slightly longer than yours if you are indeed running a ZF with a 3.46. Thats why I am getting a supercharger but I am looking for another e34 for a chevy swap and maybe a turbo or two. I know your car is a street car so thats a big diffrence from mine. I have nothing in my car at all so its not very nice to drive on the street.Comment

Word. It's my all around car. Since I went with the coil-overs and all poly urethane bushings, daily driving the car in wonderful LA streets sucks! :down:
I always warn girls before they get in the car that the ride will not be very "smooth." :nice:
As far as power, I'm very interested in the 5.0 swap that Rob at e30 motorwerks started on. An aluminum head 5.0 is almost the same weight as an m20! With proper heads/intake manifold/cam and tune that would be a real torque beast in an e30! :crazy:
I really have to stop spending $ on my car, I should be saving for a house!

I feel you man. I see too many deals and I grab stuff impulsively. Got a pair of sparcos, and a sparco strut brace in the past month.
I can't wait to start working full time at the beginning of 2010! :D
